I've got pocket queens and have raised to $8000. Any re-raise or a low flop and I'm pushing too.
Might be joining you as well.

Thanks Paul and well done.
I didn't get a call so picked up the blinds and antes (which at $5400 are worth having). Not sure what I would have done if I'd been called and there had been aces or kings on the flop so fairly happy not to have to make that decision.
Up to $31550 now and really hoping for another good hand soon. Seems like months since the last one.
Good luck Guys.

I've got queens again.
I've put in a biggish raise and got one caller so far (with one more player to act). Will probably push if no ace or king on the flop.
That tenner could be yours today Mark. |

Hoping he's got a smaller pair.
Aces or Kings and I think he would have raised me before the flop.
Ace king and I'm losing but have outs (any queen or running hearts or runner runner straight should be good).
King with a smaller kicker wouldn't have called my raise (surely).
I'm betting on a lower pair (and hoping they're not 9s or 7s). |

Ouch!
What a painful way to exit the tourney, but a massive congratulations for making it that far.
I'll buy you a large glass of whatever the next time I see you!
I think we've all improved in this event this year, no doubt due to experience learned in our weekly games in 2008. _________________ "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes..." |
