two tables is the way forward

later starts is not.

i agree with helen. in the old days everyone would be more or less ready for a 7pm start - i don't know why this has changed?

why haven't any of the newer queens signed up here - are they aware of it?

you could make up a sign for the bar advertising the site and maybe generate more interest. be nice to have some fresh input.

Easter sunday was a really late start, about 8.15 I think. we should emphasise a 7pm start.

This disc board would be useful for people wanting to play who can be blinded in if they arrive late.

Owing to SLT Hee Hee on 29th, the next game should be on 6th May, bank holiday weekend.

7pm please because we went beyond 11pm last time.

I'd like to play on Sunday but will be coming from work so am reliant on no-one dying late in the day and the vagaries of London Transport.

Can I be blinded in please? I'll get there as soon as I can ...

As the next game is going to be our first in a new healthy non-smoking environment, may I suggest/ask that we factor in a short break, say at 9pm for a fag break?

That would seem to be a good idea.. however a slight concern may be that a 10 minute break would turn into 15 if there's lots of people huddled out in the rain.

A break would probably be better at a higher blind level when you're more likely to want to see every deal.

In any case Rule 9(a) would take care of anyone on a fag break.

I'm happy with or without..

I see no reason why we shouldn't have the one scheduled break at 9.00 but try to ensure that we do start again promptly even if people aren't all back. Obviously people can also leave the table at any time they choose (but would probably prefer to do so early when the blinds are low.

There's not many people accessing this board at the moment. Anton, do you have a full email list that we could ask everyone (or at least the majority) of peope if a 5-10 min break is OK? Would like to get it out of the way so we don't spend ages discussing it actually at the game!

The nearest I can find is the round robin email that Mark sent out with the proposed new rules.

I've forwarded that to you in case you don't have it anymore. If you send out to them and post here that should be plenty.

Count me as a yes.

I've sent an email this morning to everyone I have addresses for, also including the web address here in an attempt to get people back on the board!
