An interesting article from Daniel Negreanu on the recent team event on Channel 5.

I've been watching the 888 poker team tournament on Ch4 (still can't get ch 5).

It's not as slick as the good ole late night poker show of a few years back, but the team format seems to work.

6 countries - Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Denmark, Sweden & Germany.

1 player from each country is drawn to play in 6 different heats, with points awarded accordingly to where each player finished each round.

I'm quite enjoying it.

I've enjoyed this series too. The show that DN was referring to however is very different. Players from the same team play at the same table which leads to almost inevitable collusion and chip dumping.

Yes - that team format is shocking, I shouted at the TV so much when it was on, I thought I'd turned into my Grandad!
